What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda (pronounced eye-yer-vay-duh) is an ancient system of natural healing that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. It is the sister science to yoga. The word “Ayurveda” means, the wisdom of life, and that’s exactly what it offers – a gentle, holistic approach to health and total well-being that helps you to be more balanced in your body, mind, and spirit.

Rather than focusing just on symptoms, Ayurveda looks at the whole person and helps uncover the deeper causes of imbalance. Whether it’s in your digestion, sleep, energy, hormones or daily routine. It teaches us how to live in harmony with our unique body type, the seasons, and even the rhythms of the day. Ayurveda uses simple tools like food, herbs, breathwork, daily rituals, gentle movement, and rest to bring the body back into its natural state of well-being.

Supporting Women Over 40

I have a special place in my heart for working with women in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond –  a time in life when so much can begin to shift beneath the surface – both physically and emotionally. Whether you are navigating hormonal changes, new stages of motherhood, career transitions, menopause, low energy, or simply feeling called to take better care of yourself, Ayurveda and I can offer you grounding support.

This phase of life is full of wisdom and possibility, but it can also come with challenges –  like disrupted sleep, mood swings, weight changes, digestive issues, or just feeling overwhelmed and disconnected from yourself.

Through Ayurveda, we work together to understand what your body and mind truly need. With compassion and practical tools, I’ll help you create nourishing routines, choose supportive foods, calm your nervous system and get to balance.

You don’t have to do it all alone. I’m will be here to walk beside you, offering loving guidance and a path that feel both doable and sustainable – so you can grow gracefully and thrive through every season of your life.

Curious About Ayurveda? Let’s chat.

Ayurveda has become a beautiful new passion in my life, and I’d love to share it with you. As I entered menopause, I found myself facing many of the same challenges that so many women do at this stage of life – changes in mood, energy, digestion and also becoming an empty nester as my kid left for college. Through the Ayurveda tools, I discovered new ways to support my body, calm my mind, and return to a sense of balance. Now, I feel more grounded, vibrant, and even more in tune with myself. If you are curious about how this ancient wisdom can support your well-being – especially during times of transition – let’s talk.

While I am still in the process of completing my certification as an Ayurveda Health Educator, I’m already seeing how powerful these practices, tools, and adjustments have been in my own life. I’ve experienced first-hand how transformative Ayurveda can be. One of the things that excites me most about Ayurveda is how naturally it fits with everything else I offer. Whether it’s yoga therapy, Rest Awake Meditation, intuitive guidance, or energy healing – Ayurveda weaves right in and enhances it all. It’s like everything that I’ve been doing and teaching over the years has found it’s partner – and I am so thrilled that I will be sharing it with you.
